HISTORY
• The year 1999 was when the magic happened. Bigfish International, began by producing small club gigs in local clubs in Metro Manila. Little did the owners know that they’d be creating a new standard in events management and marketing, thus inevitably launching many more massive events of international scale. Bigfish opened the floodgates for the current influx of world-renowned dance acts to the country, and there’s no going back.
• Throughout its nine-year history, Bigfish has brought in some of the world’s best dance acts, a feat as yet unrivaled by any other dance events management company in the country. Bigfish’s passion for creating the best events coupled with our array of quality music, superior visuals and world-class production says it all, and in blinking red lights: We are the leading dance production outfit in Asia.
• Bigfish is responsible for most of the metro’s successful clubbing events. We are constantly improving standards from the outcome of these events and further breaking barriers and setting a new style in concept and production. The positive response we’ve gotten from all our events has made Bigfish the brand to beat in the Philippine clubbing scene. If you went to a dance party and you had fun, chances are Bigfish was behind it.
HEROES
DJ TC
Tuck Cheah, (DJ TC to anyone who knows his dance music) was a Malaysian DJ who had spun in Australia and around Asia before taking up residence in the Philippines. Having traveled to other parts of the world and witnessed the thriving club communities in the UK and the USA, TC was inspired to put up a company that would bring big international DJ’s and branded parties to the Philippines. Realizing that it was a major undertaking that couldn’t be done by one man alone, he enlisted the help of other PR personalities, and in 1999, Bigfish was born.
TC’s determination eventually paid off as his quest to be a dance events producer solidified with Bigfish. His link to the global dance community contributed to the expansion of Bigfish’s events to a larger scale; he was able to bring together an eclectic hybrid of club events to the steadily burgeoning Philippine club scene. TC has, in turn, played at different venues around the world, representing Bigfish and the Philippines to the rest of the global club community.
TC has since passed away, but his dream for Bigfish continues to see fruition through Pixie, now joined by Activ8 Records’ Moumen “Ricky” Daker.
Now, with Bigfish leading the Philippine club scene, a revolution in dance events production is unfolding right before our eyes..

THE LABEL
• Activ8 Records is the label that carries the distribution/sales/marketing for the CD releases of branded parties from UK and other parts of the world. As it stands, Activ8 Records is the only label in the country that caters solely to dance music. No kidding.
